In the interest of full disclosure, I want to let you know that all the book links on these pages are "affiliate links" to Amazon.com. If you click on one of these links and then buy the book, I get a commission (Update 1/31/04: This hasn't happened yet). Some people are upset with Amazon because of its lawsuit against Barnes & Noble over one-click shopping technology. Other people believe it's important to support local booksellers (alas, even Books & Co. isn't locally owned any more). Obviously it's up to you whether and how you buy particular books. When it comes right down to it, you probably shouldn't buy any books at all but rather go to the library and donate the money you save to charity. At least you can't say I wasn't up front about all this.
